A truly Happy New Year to you. Your amazing photographs are a balm to the soul and keep me dreaming of Scotland, my favourite place on earth.

Thank you Pamela and it is reciprocated. I am pleased that you like the photos, and am trying to bring higher quality pics here; I have been experimenting with High Dynamic Range photography to come up with images as good as this one. I think that the more I learn about this technique the better they will get…

I just love this one. Wonderfully evocative….much like the whisky itself. I think your eye for drama will outdo HDR or any other technical bits.

Thank you Melvini and welcome, evocative indeed, but I have to admit I prefer the whisky from a couple of miles down the road at Ardbeg. HDR and the “technical bits” allow me to recreate what I saw, rather than what the camera tells me I saw; usually I only have to change the brightness and contrast a little. Although I must confess that HDR does bring a photo to life giving a greater depth to it.
