Uh oh, and the mischief you can start with that. You’ve just reminded me of something still sitting somewhere on my harddrive. And there’s a long weekend coming up…

PS: Some argue there are actually two roundabouts on Islay. But the second one isn’t as round as this one.

Ah, Armin, a little mischief never did anyone any harm, I am all for a good dose of anarchy from time to time…

“two roundabouts on Islay”??? I can’t say that I am familiar with any other one, and I think we must have driven over pretty much every inch of the island at Christmas…

Well, there is something that kind of resembles a roundabout in Port Ellen. Some would more call it a traffic island, but it is round (the traffic island, not the place where it is itself) and you can drive around it in circles if you so wish.

It’s on the road leading down to the pier, about half way between the hotel and the war monument. Not sure if I’ve got a picture of it, I’ll take a look tonight. I do have some video footage though.

Hmmm, I know where you mean Armin, but would never have thought of that as a roundabout…

Agree, it’s stretching the concept of a roundabout a bit ;-)
